All of the non-Jet Ski photos were taken with a crappy old Cannon insta-something that I've had for about ten years. The Jet Ski photos were taken with one of those even crappier waterproof Kodak cameras. These things take decent photos underwater, but out of the water, once they get that watery-film-coating over the plastic that covers the shutter, it's hard to keep it clean and take good pictures. Many of the Jet Ski shots have that 'haze' indicative of this problem.
All images in this batch are <400k in size.
Hotel: All but the last four shots in the second row are just various shots of the hotel, The Marquesa. The last four shots are looking at and from the porch outside our suite. It was really a beautiful place, and our suite was off the beaten path, down by the pool, so, there was plenty of quiet and privacy. |

Jet Ski Tour: As you can see, we didn't have very good weather for the jet ski tour. We were out on the water for well over an hour and had, maybe, fifteen minutes of sun (which I managed to get burned by, of course). The weather turned pretty bad while we were out. You'll see in some of the shots the sky looking very ugly and the water rough. In some spots, the water was like glass and we were zooming along at sixty miles per hour. But, then the water would get rough and we'd get tossed around like mad. Credit Kim for holding on and snapping a few of these shots over rough water. Oh, by the way, rain drops at sixty miles per hour? Ouch. |

Sunset: Since the weather was generally crappy while we were in Key West, we were unable to get many decent sunset photos. These were taken from Sunset Key Island, where we had a wonderful dinner at Latitudes. Great place and at least the rain held off. |

Us: The first shot below was taken right after we'd arrived at the hotel. I'd called ahead and had lavender roses delivered for Kim. I know you can't tell from this photo, but it made her cry. :-) The middle two shots were taken near the fountain at the hotel outside our suite. The final photo was taken on Sunset Key Island, from the dock along with the sunset photos above. |

Misc: The first two shots below are of Jared Michael Hobgood, a performer we happened across one night. He put on a fantastic show and worked the crowd well. When women would come up to drop money in the basket, he'd stand up and make them put the money in his waistband with their teeth (second shot). I thought it was funny, anyway. The last two shots are of a car we came across one night heading back to the hotel. A nice little amphicar. |
